1 Prophet Muhammad prophesied in the Old and the New Testament
1 John 4:1-2 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God”
a) The word ‘spirit’ refers to people such as prophets, not actual spirits, ghosts, god, holy spirit, etc we can see this from this verse from the bible as Jesus says do not believe every spirit...how many Holy Spirits are there?
b) He then states because many (spirits) are false prophets, therefore he was referring to spirits as people or prophets
c) He says the true spirit/prophet is the one that confesses that Jesus Christ did come in the flesh and was of God (i.e. was sent by God) - Prophet Muhammad did come as a prophet, and did confess that Jesus was true and from God. In fact, Muhammad was the only human being after Jesus who said Jesus is the Christ, no other prophet or religion or person outside of Christianity has claimed this. Therefore, according to Jesus’ words, Muhammad must be a true prophet, as the bible has just told you clearly ‘anyone who comes after me as long as they say i was right then they must be right.’
John 16:13 “But when he, the spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”
16:14 “He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you.”
d) Jesus talks of the spirit of truth coming (therefore this spirit of truth is not currently present, hence the word ‘coming’)
Jesus is talking about someone coming after him and this person will guide you to the truth. Another important point he states is “He will not speak of his own; he will speak only what he hears”, Jesus here is referring to the person who will come will not make his own words up or words of others, he will speak ONLY what he hears i.e. from God, hence as you may well know the Quran is purely Gods words and is not narrated by Prophet Muhammad and has no personal accounts in it. It was revealed to prophet Muhammad via angel Gabriel.
Further on Jesus says “He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you”, over here we see this person who is to come will praise Jesus. Muhammad and The Quran glorify Jesus
-Jesus was glorified and mention in the holy Quran by name 27 times and many more times by reference, Jesus was praised in the Quran, his miracles mentioned, and his second coming near the end of times. In fact, the first miracle which Jesus performed is mentioned in the Quran yet not mentioned in the Bible (Jesus spoke as he was a baby in his mothers arms to defend his mother)
e) John 16:7 nevertheless i tell you the truth. It is better for you that i go away, for if i go not the comforter will not come, for if i depart he shall come
- Who or what is the comforter. Jesus is saying if he does not leave, then this ‘comforter’ will not come, and clearly it is important that this comforter comes.
Some Christians believe he is referring to the Holy Spirit. But, how can he be referring to the Holy Spirit when we know the Holy Spirit was there when he was being baptised. The holy spirit was there before Jesus Christ was even born. He was in the womb of Elizabeth as mentioned in the bible (Luke 1:41). So surely the comforter cannot refer to the Holy Spirit.
f) If you go to the greek and armaic for the word comforter, it is the word PARACLETE which in english means ADVOCATE. And if you research the right word, it is actually PARACLETOS which means "One who praises" i.e Ahmed in arabic, which is the exact translation of Muhammad honouree Name given to him by God in Islam.
2. Deuteronomy 18:18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. If anyone does not listen to My words that the Prophet speaks in My name, I Myself will call him to account.
Note the word ‘brothers’ has been replaced by the word ‘israelites’ in some versions of the bible, which would imply Moses DID prophesies the coming of Jesus. However, if you look at this verse in Hebrew the word is actually ‘brother’ and cannot be translated as Israelite. It is the same word used in other verses of the bible i.e. Deutronomy 2:4 - “You are about to pass through the territory of your brothers, the people of Esau, who live in Seir; and they will be afraid of you. So be very careful.
So, who is the old testament referring to in this verse? Christians believe it is referring to the coming of Jesus, Muslims believe it is referring to Muhammad. Let’s read further. Reasons as to why this verse was referring to Muhammad -' i shall raise up a prophet amongst their bretherin like unto thee (like moses)'
a) Both Moses and Muhammad were born naturally, Jesus was not.
b) Both had a father and a mother, while Jesus was born miraculously without any male intervention. [Mathew 1:18 and Luke 1:35 and also Al-Qur'an 3:42-47]
c) Both were married and had children. Jesus according to the Bible did not marry nor had children.
d) Both died natural deaths. Jesus has been raised up alive. (4:157-158)
e) Now this prophet cannot be Jesus as Deuteronomy 34:10 says
“There has never been another prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face”
Since Jesus is from Israel he therefore according to the above verse has been ruled out and this verse cannot be talking about him. This brings us back to John 16:13 which states the Spirit of truth shall come to guide you ALL into truth. He will not speak on his own, he will speak only what he hears; just as Muhammad did, he was a guide for ALL and the Quran is what he spoke from what he heard of Gods words.
f) Prophet Muhammad was unlettered and whatever revelations he received from Almighty God he repeated them verbatim.
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him." Deutronomy 18:18
g) The messengers and prophets all bowed down to God just as Islam describes and the Torah and Gospel describe
Is this a coincidence? Yet Muslims are the only ones who pray like the prophets.
Matthew 26:39 ‘Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”
2) Allah in the Christian Bible
The Rev. C. I. Scofield, D. D. with a team of 8 Consulting Editors, also all doctors of divinity’s in the “Scofield Reference Bible” thought it appropriate to spell the Hebrew word “Elah” (meaning God) alternatively as “Alah” The Christians had thus seemed to have accepted at last that the name of God is Allah but were still spelling Allah with one “L”!
