1) Describing God in the bible?
2 Samules 22:9-11 “There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet. And he rode upon a cherub (naked child female angel), and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.” – this is God? Smoke from His nostrils? Fire from his mouth? And he was riding a naked child female angels with wings. This is NOT almighty God. This is a very strange imagination of a HUMAN mind.
2) Past teachings of God being ONE, and not a MAN.
If we take a look at the past prophets i.e. Adam, Noah, Abraham, Solomon, David, Jonah, Jacob, Zakariyah, Aaron, Muhammad to name just a fraction (thousands have been)- they all taught of ONE GOD. They never said to worship Jesus, or the holy spirit. They always spoke of the one true God. After how many thousands of years since Adam, after how many prophets, does God now decide to add a twist to his religion and say there are three God in One. Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Father. Clearly something is not adding up? Clearly someone has added this doctrine of the Trinity (We will cover this later on exactly where the trinity came from). Here are some examples from the old testament and proof that God alone is one. And bare in mind, when God makes a statement, it doesn’t change as you can see from Numbers;
Numbers 23:19 “God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill?”
If he says he is the LAST, it means he will always be the last, otherwise if another God came after him it would mean God did not predict the future correctly, God is always correct.
1 Timothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediatoralso between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (Jesus is a mediator, aka a prophet, a messenger of God)
James 2:19 “You believe that God is one You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.”
Deutronomy 4:35 "To you it was shown that you might know that the LORD, He is God; there is no other besides Him
Deutronomy 6:4 “"Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!”
Deutronomy 23:39 'See now that I, I am He, And there is no god besides Me; It is I who put to death and give life I have wounded and it is I who heal, And there is no one who can deliver from My hand.
2 Samuel 7:22 “"For this reason You are great, O Lord GOD; for there is none like You, and there is no God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears”
1 Chronicles 17:20 “"O LORD, there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ear”
Psalms 83:18 “That they may know that You alone, whose name is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth.”
Psalms 86:10 “For You are great and do wondrous deeds; You alone are God.” – ALONE are God
Isaiah 43:10 “"You are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.” – God says clearly ‘before me there was no God formed...and there will be none after me’ clearly God is saying a God will not be formed (Jesus was formed as he came from Mary) and he says there will be no God after me, hence Jesus cannot be God.
Isaiah 44:6 “"Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the first and I am the last, And there is no God besides Me.”
Isaiah 45:18 “For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens (He is the God who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited), "I am the LORD, and there is none else.” – note AND THEIR IS NONE ELSE.
Mark 12:29 Jesus answered, "The foremost is, 'HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD;”
Hosea 11:9 For I am God, not a Man.
How much clear does it have to be than this to show you that Jesus could not have been God in a human form. When God states he is not a Man, it means he is not a man. Simple. God says He is God alone. These are explicit statements, yet many Christians choose implicit states which are not very clear to make explicit statements that Jesus is God such as when Jesus states ‘ My Father and I are one’, rather than taking this as Jesus and God are one in message, people take this vague statement as Jesus and God are one entity which is a complete misinterpretation.
3) The Red-Letter Bible
Jesus did not write the bible nor did anyone else in his life time.
Therefore, what are the chances of the bible being truly from Jesus?
There is a bible which exists called the Red-Letter Bible. In this bible all the words which Jesus has stated from his own mouth are highlighted in red. If you analyse this bible only 48% of the bible contains Jesus’s words. Which means 52% of the bible has been written by ordinary humans, non-prophets, just men. These can easily have been corrupted or biased, depending on the type of persons character, their mood or life experiences at the time.
Most importantly NO WHERE in the Red-Letter Bible does Jesus claim to be God, call himself God, or asked to be worshipped. This is clear proof he is not God. He was simply a great messenger of the Father aka God
4) The word Elaohim?
Many Christians claim that the old testament refers to God as Elaohim. And then Jesus calls himself Elaohim in the new testament. Let’s take a look below.
Jesus was quoting Psalm 82:6 - I said, “You are Elohim, sons of the Most High are you all.”
Elohim is one of the names of God, but it does not exclusively refer to God. Elohim, the plural form of the singular noun elo'ah means "one[s] of power and authority," or simply "powers."
Elohim is used throughout the Old Testament to refer to someone that is in a position of moral, spiritual or political authority.
For example, false gods and goddesses are called elohim.
“You shall not recognize the gods [elohim] of others in My presence.” (Exodus 20:3)
Angels are called elohim –
Psalms 8:6 “Yet, You have made him but slightly less than the angels [elohim], and crowned him with soul and splendor.”
Judges are referred to Elohim –
Exodus 22:8 “...to the court [elohim] shall come both their claims. Whomever the court [elohim] finds guilty shall pay double to his fellow.
Similarly, Moses was called elohim.
...See, I have made you a master [elohim] over Pharoah... (Exodus 7:1)
So, Jesus's argument was basically “I only claimed to be an elohim, not THE Elohim.” He was implying that he has power and judgement over you.
5) Son of God- There were many Sons, not just Jesus.
The term "son of God" is sometimes used in the Old and New Testaments of the Christian Bible to refer to those with special relationships with God
In the Old Testament, angels, just and pious men, and the kings of Israel are all called "sons of God." In the New Testament, Adam, and, Jesus Christ are called "son of God,"
Jesus is referred to as the SON of God. This is not to be taken literally. As there are many references to the ‘Son’ of God referring to many people. And note in the language which the bible was written (Hebrew), there is no such thing as a capitol letter i.e. Sons. All letters are lower case i.e. sons. Therefore, when the bible in English uses the capital S for son when referring to Jesus, then a normal S when referring to other sons, this is a play on words, and implies something which is not true.
Psalm 82:6-7 ESV - `I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.”
The gods in Psalm 82 are the sons of God. Whoever the gods in Psalm 82 is, it is clear that they are mere mortals.
Now, Let us look at
Exodus 4:22 "Thus saith Jehovah, Israel is my son, even my firstborn." Here we see in this verse that Israel is not only God's so called "Son", but also his first born! Does this mean that Jehovah is Israel? Does it mean that we must worship Israel as Jehovah or Allah? Of course not.
Jeremiah 31:9 "I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn." Ephraim in this verse means Israel. Does this imply Epharim is also like Jesus, God the Son. Clearly God has called him a son.
Psalm 2:7 "....Jehovah had said onto me (David), thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee." Here in this verse we see that God not only called David his "Son", but also had made him his begotten Son! Surely David must be a god just like Jesus as they are both ‘begotten’?
Now, let’s take a look at the famous verse from the New testament which Christians claim refers to Jesus being God the Son.
John 3:16 "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."
Lets clarify what ‘Begotten’ means. According to the dictionary - (especially of a man) bring (a child) into existence by the process of reproduction.
The term begotten has now been removed from modern day bibles, after thousands of years, finally. Because to ‘Beget’ is a lower animal act, and God is not an animal who had sex to reproductively produce a son.
No priest worth his cloth would fail to quote “the only Begotten of the Father!” when preaching to a prospective convert. But this fabrication “Begotten” has now been unceremoniously excised by the Bible Revisers, without a word of excuse. This blasphemous word “Begotten” was another of the many such interpolations in the “Holy Bible.”
Ironically, Trinitarians rely on this verse (John 3:16) very heavily when trying to prove that Allah or Jehovah or God came down to earth to die for our sins. They claim that Jesus being God's son, makes him the only Son for God, which ultimately lead us to the conclusion that Jehovah is Jesus. However, this must then also apply to David as he is referred to as God’s Son, and Adam, too.
If we argue that he must be Gods son because he was born without a father, then surely Adam has more right to be called Gods son as he had no father nor mother.
6) Jesus worshiping his God and was NOT God.
Jesus actually prayed and worshiped God just as all other prophets. If he is God, why would he do this?
Let us look at
Luke 5:16 "And he (Jesus) withdrew himself into the wilderness and prayed to his God." Here we see that Jesus had a God, a supreme God, who is higher than him and stronger than him. Jesus was God's servant and he prayed to God so God would strengthen him more and reinforce him with patience and desire to continue his mission in spreading the word of God Almighty.
Also, let us look at
Matthew 26:39 "And going a little way forward, he (Jesus) fell upon his face, praying and saying 'My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me. Yet, not as I will, but as you will.' " Here in this verse we see two things:
(1) Jesus bowed down on his face and prayed in submission to his GOD in obedience just as Muslims go to their knees and put their face on the floor to pray to God.
(2) Jesus was begging his GOD to let the cup pass away from him. Jesus did not have the power to will it for himself and make the cup pass away from Jesus. GOD had to do it for Jesus. How can Jesus be the Creater of this Universe, the all knowing, most powerful?
Also, let us look at
Matthew 26:42 "Again, for the second time, he (Jesus) went off and prayed,saying: 'My Father, if it is not possible for this to pass away except I drink it, let your will take place.'" My comments on this verse are similar to the above one (Matthew 26:39), Jesus begged his GOD to will what Jesus wanted to happen. Jesus couldn't will it by himself.
Matthew 26:44 "So leaving them, he (Jesus) went off and prayed for the third time, saying once more the same word." Here we see that Jesus for the third time begged his GOD to will what Jesus wished for in Matthew 26:39 above. How can Jesus be the Creater of this Universe if he begs, and lacks power?
You see, quite simply, whenever you PRAY to something it means you are weaker than the object to which you are praying (God). It means whom you are praying to has more knowledge than you, has more wisdom, has created everything, it means that you are submitting yourself to this supreme power, God. If you require to pray to something greater than yourself, then you cannot be a God. Can you imagine, God the father, Allah, Jehovah, praying to ask for help?
Below are more verses proving EXPLICITLY Jesus is not God and relies upon A GOD.
John5:30 - "I can do nothing on My own initiative As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
John 6:38 - "For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me” – this exactly what Muhammad states about himself, this is what all the prophets state about themselves, that they have come to carry out the work of God.
John 4:34 Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.” – note he was SENT, by God, to do the WORK of God. Just like Muhammad, Abraham, Moses etc were SENT by God, to spread to word of God.
Psalms 143:10- “Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”
Hence, Jesus was not God.
Matthew 27:46 and Mark 15:34 “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” - If this verse is correct, it is inconceivable for Jesus to be God as he is talking to ‘My God’. If Jesus knew he would die on the cross for man’s sins, then;
1) Why would he talk as if he was not aware this was going to happen?
2) Shouldn’t he just accept the will of God as he knows it is Gods plan?
3) Why has he lost hope in God’s plan by saying “why have you forsaken me”- this is not something a true believer would say, especially Jesus?
4) He is calling out to God for help, which means once again he cannot be God as he is relying on a higher power to help him. Hence, it is clear he is Jesus the messenger of God.
Think, Jesus cried, ate, slept, wept, defecated, urinated, does this sound like the qualities of God? This is no befitting for a God.
7) Nowhere does Jesus say he is God.
If Jesus is God look through every single bible, any version, any language, NO WHERE does Jesus say “I am God” or “Worship Me”. If Jesus was truly God surely the foremost important message he would want to get across to his creation or followers is that “I am God”, after this message all else would have second importance. The most key thing Christians of today believe is that Jesus is God yet the most key thing is not mentioned.
8) Explicit Vs Implicit statements
An explicit statement is something which is clear and obvious, for example “I like white trainers”. An implicit statement would be “I like most colours”. Now the explicit statement is clear that I like white trainers, there is no doubt. But the implicit statement is not so clear, as it says I like MOST colours, therefore it implies I must like white because I didn’t say I don’t like white.
So, this example is to show you that an explicit statement is always more clear and powerful than an implicit statement. When you have the choice of and explicit and implicit statement, the explicit statement always wins.
Now looking at the bible, in multiple verses Jesus explicitly states to worship one God alone, not himself;
You will see from the below verses Jesus is not a saviour, only God is explicitly. God keeps stating he is One and alone. God says he is the first and LAST, which mean no other god including Jesus will come as a God. Jesus says in Mark that there is one God and besides him none other, this is Jesus talking. In Timothy Jesus is referred to as the mediator i.e. the messenger, the one who brings the message and mediates Gods word.

l. Isaiah43:10,11 — Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. And the second is like, namely this, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices. And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of God. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

(There are many more but due to the length we stopped at the end of the alphabets!)
9) When the rich young man asked Jesus
Mark 10:16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”
So, He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, rkeep the commandments.”
This same verse is in Mathew and Luke too.
If Jesus was God why would he say “why do you call me good?” Why did he rebuke the man?
He is trying to glorify God. By saying “why do you call me good? No one is good but One, that is, God”- clearly over here he is separating himself from the One God, he is making a distinction that he is human and only God, is good. Otherwise why would Jesus aka God, ask to not be called good!
10) Jesus visited the temple and synagogue
He never made a church and asked to be worshipped. He attended the temple just as the Jews did as he himself was a Jew. If he was God and wanted to be worshipped he would have established a church whilst he was alive. He would ask his disciples to wait while he goes to the temple and prays. If you need to pray it means you are dependent on something greater than yourself. If something is greater than you then you cannot be God.
11) Before Abraham, Jesus was.
This verse
John 8:58 “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”
To the Christians this may imply that Jesus existed before Abraham. Therefore, this raises the question, was he on earth before Abraham, we know he was not. Therefore, was he in heaven with God before Abraham, therefore walking around or side by side with God in heaven, if yes then this implies in heaven at one given time there was God and Jesus, if both are Gods, then you worship two Gods, but Christians say that they worship one God who has come to earth in a human form. But if Jesus is god and was in heaven before Abraham then it must mean both God the father and Jesus co-existed, therefore you have 2 Gods at the same time, when we know God is One as the old testament states and Jesus states in verse quoted previously in this document. Do you see how many more questions and contradictions arise from this one idea that Jesus existed before Abraham in heaven? From being a monotheistic religion Christianity becomes a Polythestic religion. Now add more light to this here is another verse from the old testament,
Jeremiah1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."
God is all-knowing. He exists outside of time. He had a plan for Jeremiah even before the prophet was conceived. Likewise, he also had a plan for Jesus even before he was conceived. Jesus did not physically exist before Abraham in heaven, nor did God then convert and change Jesus from a heavenly being into a sperm then a foetus which grew in a womb.
We were all with God before being conceived, what this means was we were in the KNOWLEDGE of God. He planned for us and knew our purpose before we were formed.
12) The bible was inspired by God, the Holy Spirit.
As the Holy Spirit, The Father and Jesus area all one, therefore what the father knows the Holy Spirit will know and God the Son will know. God is all knowing, it is a key point that do be God, you are all powerful and knowledgeable. God knows our feelings our emotions, our further, our thoughts, our plans. Not a leaf falls off a tree without the knowledge of God. Now with this in mind take a look at the following verse;
Mark 13:32 "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
This verse is regarding the final day, day of judgement.
1) The Holy Spirit should know this day as the Holy Spirit is God, yet the Holy Spirit inspired the person or Mark that no one knows the final day, why did the holy spirit not know, if it is God?
2) The Holy Spirit is testifying that this ‘other God’ Jesus, doesn’t know either. So all three are apparently One, yet 2 of the 3 do not know the final day.
This surely shows Jesus is not God, he is simply a messenger who has not been given this knowledge. Just as all the prophets including Muhammad, when asked about the final day also replied
3) Furthermore, this verse proves that the Holy Spirit is not God, due to its lack of knowledge, the holy spirit is angel Gabrielle as the Muslims and Jews believe. Angel Gabrielle had the role of conveying the message of God in heaven to all his messengers. Angel Gabrielle came to Abraham, Mary, Jesus, Noah, Moses and Muhammad.
13) Jesus commanded the Jew
In Matthew when a Jewish man approached Jesus he asked which is the most important commandment, to which Jesus replied
Mark 12:29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
As we can see from this verse, Jesus did not command that he is God, or that ‘the Lord our God is one, and so am I and so is the Holy Spirit.’
Also note he said “OUR” God, the Lord is one. He includes himself in the fact that God in heaven is the Jewish man’s god as much as he is Jesus’ God. He repeated word for word what Moses was given hundreds of years before. If the trinity was true this would have been the right moment to educated people about this new concept.
14) The Devil Tempted Jesus and Jesus Potentially Committing Sin
From Mathew 4:1 onwards we see that the Devil approached Jesus and tempted him to do things. God does not have temptations. Having temptations is a form of weakness. Your God, my God, our God, the most powerful, the ONE, does not have any weakness. If Jesus can be tempted, it means he must simply be human, a messenger. Take a look at the below verse;
Matthew 4:8 “Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”
Jesus here is saying to Satan, go away, worship God. He did not say ‘No i will not worship you, you should worship me’. He clearly said “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him ONLY”. Note he said ONLY. However, we have Christians worshiping the Lord God (Father) in heaven AND worshiping Jesus.
Furthermore, if we look at the following verse;
James 1:13 “When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;”
If God cannot be even tempted, even tested, they why was Jesus tempted and tested by Satan for 40 days? This mean Jesus could not be God. If someone can be tempted to sin, it means they have the potential to commit sin. This verse implies Jesus had the potential to commit but chose not to. God cannot have the potential to commit sin.
Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
This is exactly what Islam believes about every prophet, they will be tempted but they will not give in nor sin. You cannot tempt God as God clearly states.
15) Jesus was not all knowing- God however is all knowing.
Mark 11:12 “The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.”
From this verse we see that Jesus had no knowledge of what is ahead or the future. He could see a tree and he had to approach the tree before he could learn that it had no fruit. Being a God, he should have known this. Secondly, he cursed the tree when he saw at his disappointment it had no fruit. Does God curse? Does God feel disappointed and angry at a tree which is simply doing what it was created to do. Does god feel hungry? God feeds, He provides, He does not feel hunger. This is not the quality of God.
If a person from a foreign land was to visit another country and enquired about a fruit out of season, this is expected, as he has no knowledge of this foreign land, no knowledge of what grows in this season. But God cannot make a mistake, He created the tree and the seasons. God created a law for the tree to follow to bear fruits at the right time of the year, yet Jesus is cursing the tree for following Gods law, ‘his Fathers law’. This is irrational behaviour from a God, not even sane humans do this.
We are not questioning Jesus here, he was sane, he was a messenger. We are questioning who on earth wrote the bible has portrayed the wrong image of Jesus, whoever wrote these verses is far away from loving Jesus.
16) Jesus was powerless by himself
John 5:30 “I can do nothing on my own. I judge as God tells me. Therefore, my judgment is just, because I carry out the will of the one who sent me, not my own will.”
This above verse is a very powerful, EXPLICIT verse.
1) Jesus proclaims he cannot do ANYTHING, or he can do NOTHING on his own. This automatically throws away the idea of him being God.
2) Jesus judges as God tells him, once again, clear EXPLICIT statement saying that Jesus carries out Gods judgment as God is all knowing and can see into the hearts of man, exactly as all the prophets did before him.
3) Jesus carries out the will of the ONE who SENT him. A prophet or a messenger are SENT by God to carry out God’s will. Jesus is clearly a prophet/messenger.
However, you may then come across this following verse;
John 5:27 “and He gave Him authority to execute judgment, because He is the Son of Man”
God here has given Jesus authority to make judgements i.e. this man is bad, this man has sinned, that man was wrong. This doesn’t mean he has become God. Just like all the messengers who judged their people accordingly for what they did. God has given him the responsibility to judge. And Jesus was the best judge amongst all the humans at the time because he was the messenger of God and knew Gods word.
17) God is greater than Jesus according to Jesus?
John 14:28 My Father is greater than I
John 10:29 My Father is greater than all
If Jesus is God, then how can God be greater than Jesus? Surely he should be equal or the same. This is a reoccurring pattern where Jesus statements clearly show he was a messenger to his Father, to our Father. Just like all the prophets and messengers.
18) A very interesting verse that speaks a thousand words?
Hebrews 1:3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
This verse states Jesus is a representation of Gods glory.- this states he has been sent as a representative to earth, just like all the prophets and messengers had been sent as a representation of God.
Secondly, it states Jesus sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven- this suggests Jesus and God are two separate entities, God is the more supreme hence Jesus is on his right hand, yet Christians claim Jesus and God are one? So how are they one but Jesus is sitting at His right hand. Too many contradictions.
19) Did Jesus gave life to the dead?
One may say Jesus is God because he gave life to the dead? Does Jesus say himself that HE GAVE LIFE to the dead? No. This is the Christian understanding. Let look at the verse from the bible
John 11:20 “When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went to meet him. Mary stayed at home. 21 Martha told Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask him.”
Martha is telling Jesus that through God, if Jesus asks God, her brother will come back to life, because God will give Jesus whatever he asks for.
This statement is clear, that even his follower believed Jesus was not God, otherwise she would have no need to mention “God will give you whatever you ask him”.
It then follows on
John 11:40 Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believe, you would see God’s glory?”
Martha warned Jesus that it has been 4 days and there is a stench, she had doubt. Jesus replied with the above clearly stating “You would see God’s Glory”, he did not say MY glory. Furthermore, the verse continues;
John 11:40 Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you for hearing me. I’ve known that you always hear me. However, I’ve said this so that the crowd standing around me will believe that you sent me.”
Jesus is looking UP for help to God, and is THANKING God for listening to him. Therefore, this adds to the evidence Jesus brought back the dead or did any miracles by the will of God, he himself did not bring back the dead it was God.
In the verse he also says that he knows that God hears him but for the sake of the people around him so that they do not think he is God and they believe that God sent him as a messenger/prophet, Jesus is praying to God openly, so when this person comes back to life, Jesus can show them that he prayed to the God who made this miracle.
Another verse which clarifies that Jesus did not perform these miracles when Peter says the following;
Acts 2:22 “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.”
This above verse clearly states Jesus was accredited by God, and performed miracles and signs whether it was raising the dead, his resurrection, healing the blind, through God. Not himself, not the Holy Spirit, but, GOD.
A simple lay mans example i.e. you press the light switch and the light comes on, you didn’t make light or give light, that was done by the person who made the bulb and the electric suppliers.
20) Jesus was sleepy and tired?
Mathew 8:24 “24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping”.
This verse talks about Jesus sleeping, a God that sleeps?
John 4:6 “6 Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.”
A tired God?
Matthew 26:37 “He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled.”
A sorrowing a troubled God? Does God sorrow?
Amongst these verses there are many others in the bible about Jesus crying groaning, being thirsty, hungry.
The above qualities, do they fit a HUMAN being/ HUMAN messenger of God, or do they fit the qualities of God, the almighty, most powerful, the one who created everything, the all-knowing.
21) If Jesus was God on earth, for the first time, and the last time, then why was he only interested in helping a few?
An incident occurred where a woman asked Jesus for help, and initially Jesus ‘GOD’ refused her, not only did he refuse to help her he also said because she is not a Jew and he has ONLY come to help the Jews. So, a God that has come to help just one race? Is God not capable of helping all? Surely if He is God he should be providing help and salvation for the world. How can God turn away a woman asking for help? This is because Jesus was a prophet, and like all prophet before him he was sent to a specific nation to guide that group of people, which was the ‘lost sheep of Israel’ also known as the Jews.
Mathew 15:22 “And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Further evidence in
Mathew 2:2 states “He is the King of the Jews...”
John 1:49 “Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.”
John 12:13 “ They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna!”. “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”. “Blessed is the king of Israel!”
Luke 1:33 “And he will reign over Israel (house of Jacob) forever; his Kingdom will never end!"
As you can see, not the King of all, not the King of the world, but the King of the Jews only. And furthermore he will reign over Israel forever, not over the world. How can this God be just the king of one race or one nation? And if he will rule over the Jews forever then why do we not see this today. Israel is a jewish state with no Christian ruler?
Because these are not the words of God!
22) Exorcisms and healing in the name of Jesus?
As we know throughout the world people heal and exorcise devils in the name of Jesus, we can agree to this as this is abundant.
Now lets take a look at what Jesus SAYS about all these Christians who are healing and exorcising in HIS name;
Matthew 7:22 “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
This verse shows Jesus is not happy with those who have believed Jesus is God and have healed and exorcised in Jesus’ name. Yet why is Jesus angry with them and telling them they are evil? He did not ask the Jews to get away, or the hindus or others. He was specifically telling the Christians who did these works i.e. believed he was God, to get away from him.
Because, just like himself, Jesus casted out devils in the name of God, he healed the blind and brought back the dead (as covered in earlier topic) in the name of God. For Christians to do all these acts in Jesus’ name rather than God’s name, is blasphemy, and throws them out of the possibility of heaven and are condemn to hell. No matter how much they love Jesus they have transgressed by making Jesus God, when he was not God. Jesus in this verse clearly shows he cannot be God as he is offended that they casted out devils and healed in his name.
23) Warning Jesus gave regarding miracles and people who believe Jesus must be God because they have witnessed healing in his name?
Despite the above verse where Jesus warns those who perform miracles, heal or cast out devils in his name are evil people and sinners, Jesus actually went a step further by giving the following warning;
Mathew 7:15 “ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
Mathew 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; in so much that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
Jesus in these verses in telling us all that there will be people performing miracles, healing, casting out devils, but this does not make them good people or Christians or Saints, these people are in fact liars, false, using devils to help them with their miracles, to fool you into believing they are ACTUALLY casting out devils and performing miracles in Jesus’ name.
This further highlights miracles are not the test of faith. Just because someone casts out a devil in Jesus’ name or performs a healing in his name (wrongly, as we have learnt earlier Jesus refers to them as evil as they used his name and not the name of God). Because even bad people, false prophets, evil people, can perform miracles to fool you.
If we are going to use the excuse of people being healed in Jesus’ name then how would we explain healing which has occurred in Hinduism and other major religions including Islam.
To add further Jesus states that John The Baptist is one of the greatest of people to walk the earth, yet John the Baptist did not perform any miracles. This shows that performing miracles does not make you a prophet or a God. Many prophets performed miracles. We should not let this make us believe Jesus was God or his Son.
24) But Jesus said “I and the Father are 1”
If you take this verse out of context and literally take it for what it means then i agree, it can imply God and Jesus are one, therefore Jesus is God. Now before we analyse this verse here is an example of context;
John 2:19 “ Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
The above verse shows that if taken out of context, it sounds like Jesus will physically rebuild the temple/monastery in 3 days. This is how the Jews understood it. But we know from following verses Jesus was referring to when he dies on the cross he will return within 3 days. It was a metaphor.
Now let’s look at the verse
John 10:30 The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
- He says above, ‘the works I do in my Father’s name’ meaning like all prophets, he is doing the work of God.
- ‘the works testify about me’ – here Jesus is saying the work he does proves that he must be a prophet of God as the Jews were not convinced.
- The sheep i.e. Jesus’ followers/those who believe he is a messenger of God, will have eternal life and never perish. Now we know humans do perish and do not have eternal life as we all die, however Jesus is implying that they will not go to hell i.e. perish and they will have eternal life in heaven.
- No one will snatch the sheep/followers out of Jesus’ hand, once they are believers they will remain as believers.
- ‘My Father who have given them to me’- God has given Jesus followers who believe in Jesus as being the messenger. No one can take these believers away as they are firm in faith from Jesus’ hands nor God’s hands. Jesus clearly made the statement twice, one to say his hands and another to say God’s hands. If he was God one statement would have been sufficient. He is saying that the believers cannot be taken away and converted from Jesus or God, as God is the one who gave Jesus these followers.
- Finally, ‘I and the Father are one’- Jesus is implying with the above verse said, that Jesus and God are one in the sense that whatever God commands to Jesus, or gives to Jesus, Jesus does. Therefore, he is one with God in terms of his message, his goals, his aims. They are on the same page. If you displease a prophet of God you displease God too. If you offend a prophet of God, you have offended God too. If you offend my mother, you have automatically offended me too.
25) Jesus was not crucified?
The incarnation is not an issue. Although the Islamic perspective is that he was changed for someone else and resurrected as God di not forsake him, let’s just agree for the sake of argument he was crucified on the cross. This does not prove he is god or died for our sins. God brought him back to life as Christians believe. Why must it be that his crucifixion was a sacrifice for mankind?
If it was a sacrifice it certainly wasn’t a ‘willful’ sacrifice, because if it was intended to be a sacrifice Jesus would have volunteered to be crucified. Instead he was forced onto the cross and taken to the place to be killed whilst he was pealing to his killers. His words were ‘why have you forsaken me oh father?’. This show it was not wilful.
If believing in Jesus will clear your sins, does this mean a Christian can commit rape and still not be punished or go to heaven? The devil believes in Jesus according to the bible, will he go to heaven? This proves that belief is not enough to save your sins, every human must be held accountable for their sins.
